Calls All to Come To Worship ! ! !

Prayer

God who frees the captive,

free us from expectations of you that keep us from entering into a relationship of trust in you with all our heart and mind and strength.

God,

who cannot be limited by my imagination,

help me open my heart to your abundant providence from the places I least expect to find it.

Amen.

Women's Group

Hello!

I'm Gail Rosen - Treasurer of the Women's Group. You are invited to join us for fun and fellowship.

The Amboy Belle Isle United Church Women's Group meets monthly at the home of one of the members or at the church, except during the summer when several meetings occur at the Skaneateles Camp of Leona Hardy where fellowship and craftmanship are combined in discussing mission projects and making crafts for the different events held to raise funds during the year.

Between 10 and 20 women gather regularly to plan out the details of many annual church events, as well as raising and disbursing money to various missions, local and global, in an effort to meet the needs of others in their service to God.

All gatherings open with prayer and close with a thoughtful message shared by a different member at each meeting. Minutes are read. Treasurer's report is given. Mission needs are presented for consideration.

Meals for all occasions are planned by this group of Service Warriors. Many hands, sharing so many tasks. And some meal planning is for sad occasions when death takes a loved one home to be with the Lord. But whatever the event, the Women's Group oversees the planning, ordering, work schedule needs, prepared food timing (like a day to bake pies or cakes for a dinner), as well as mailing out announcements for the regular Turkey, Roast Pork, Spaghetti, Chicken 'N Biscuit Suppers; also plan coffee hours or luncheons after worship now and then.
